The Halloween Spooktacular Show by Wild Mind Improv is an all-ages, interactive comedy performance driven entirely by audience suggestions. Local comedians Anoo Tree Brod, Dylan Grewen, and Bart Hubbard lead the fast-paced games, making it a lighthearted way to celebrate the season without any of the jump scares. What to Know: The show takes place at the ArtsCenter in Carrboro on Friday, October 23, 2026, starting at 6:15 PM. Tickets cost $25 for adults and $15 for children aged 12 and under. Kids are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes, as there is a dedicated contest featuring custom prize medallions handmade by artist Ruth Kravitz. This is an excellent weekend pick if you want an indoor activity that keeps kids entertained through active participation. Because the humor relies on suggestions from the crowd, your children might even see their own ideas acted out on stage.
While the comedy is clean and family-friendly, the fast-paced improv format is best suited for elementary-aged children and older who can follow the quick dialogue and participate in giving suggestions.
Should my kids wear their Halloween costumes?
Yes, dressing up is highly encouraged. There is an official costume contest during the event with special prize medallions designed by Ruth Kravitz for the winners.
