Game On! at Moore Square is a free, drop-in outdoor recreation day featuring giant board games and lawn activities in the heart of downtown Raleigh. Kids can run around the grass while playing with hula hoops, soccer balls, oversized Jenga, and chess sets provided by the park. This event is best suited for toddlers through early elementary students who enjoy active, unstructured play. There is no admission fee, and you can come and go as you please between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. Street parking is available around the square, or you can use the Marbles Kids Museum deck nearby. Pack a picnic blanket, sunscreen, and water bottles, as shade can be limited in the open lawn areas. It makes a highly practical outing because of its central location. You can easily pair a morning of lawn games with a visit to the nearby city museum or grab lunch at one of the quick-service spots bordering the park.
