Stock photo from Depositphotos The Chatham Mills "Pollinator Paradise" Garden, at 480 Hillsboro Street, Pittsboro, North Carolina, features over over 240 species of perennials, trees, shrubs, vines and grasses. 85% of them are native to North Carolina. This garden is maintained by Agricultural Extension Agent Debbie Roos and a small crew of volunteers. It's open every day and is free to visit. You're likely to see bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinators, as well as the plants that nourish them. Guided tours are also available. They are free, but registration is required.
