Food & Fiction is a hands-on library workshop where teenagers learn to prepare simple recipes and discuss books. Participants will make a quick snack before diving into a relaxed reading and discussion session centered around the day's literary theme. This free program is designed specifically for teenagers and requires no prior kitchen experience. It takes place in the North Meeting Room at the North Regional Library in Durham, which offers plenty of free on-site parking. All ingredients and cooking supplies are provided, so your teen only needs to bring an appetite and an interest in reading. It is a highly practical weekday afternoon activity that gives older kids a safe, productive space to socialize, learn basic life skills, and find their next favorite book.
