Explore the evolution of fiber art through a curated collection spanning generations. Joy Masepoli retired from a 35 year nursing career and moved from Carson City, Nevada to be near her son and grandchildren. She is a lover of history and an avid collector of vintage fiber arts. Her collection ranges from the 1860s to present. Some of her collection includes a Penny rug (1860s), a Crazy Quilts (the oldest is from the 1890s) needlepoint, crochet, yarn and rag rugs, vintage handmade clothing and a feed sack quilt from 1936. She has an interest in the history of each craft she collects. She finds her pieces in thrift stores, church rummage sales, and estate sales. Special inclusion:Items created by On The Mend (Senior Center), supporting hospital patients through handmade contributions.
