Canes Hockey Night in Apex is a free community street festival in downtown Apex that kicks off the town's autumn event series with youth hockey games, music, and kids' activities. On Friday, September 18, the Carolina Hurricanes take over the Depot parking lot to host street hockey games for children of all skill levels, with no equipment required. What to Know: The event runs from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 220 North Salem Street. It is entirely free to attend, including the street hockey games, inflatables, and the meet-and-greet with Stormy, the Hurricanes mascot. Street parking is available throughout downtown Apex, but spots fill quickly, so plan to arrive early if you want to park close to the Depot. This is an easy, low-stress Friday night outing. You can let the kids play on the inflatables, try their hand at street hockey, and then walk to one of the nearby Salem Street restaurants for dinner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the best place to park for the event?
Parking is available in the public lots and along the streets in downtown Apex, though the Depot lot itself will be closed for the event activities.
