Be prepared. Be resilient. The Morrisville Fire/Rescue Department and Morrisville CERT will visit several community locations to share guidance on emergency preparedness, including how to build a family emergency plan and get ready for a disaster. Free "Go Bags" will be available to attendees — one per family, while supplies last.
The Emergency Preparedness Community Event is a free safety workshop hosted by the Morrisville Fire and Rescue Department and the Morrisville Community Emergency Response Team. Local safety experts will teach residents how to package essential supplies, map out evacuation routes, and prepare their homes for severe North Carolina weather. Parents can bring children of all ages to meet the firefighters and explore safety concepts together. The event is completely free to attend, and the library offers plenty of convenient, stroller-friendly parking right out front. Be sure to arrive on time if you want to secure one of the complimentary emergency go-bags, as these are limited to one per household and will go quickly. This is a smart weekend stop because it turns a chore we all put off into an easy, interactive task. You can get your safety questions answered by local professionals and walk away with tangible resources to protect your household.
