This Friday (aka 9-2-5), American Tobacco Campus is going to be full of Dolly Parton's spirit, in the heart of the city where she recorded two wonderful albums. All day long, ATC restaurants across campus will be selling Dolly-themed items for $9.25, with a portion of sales (matched by ATC) going to the Durham County Imagination Library. Starting around 5:45pm, Heather Rogers and then Kym Register + Meltdown Rodeo will be playing Dolly covers and more under the Lucky Strike Tower, and pepper that with fun Dolly-themed games and a little treat as the sun goes down. They’ll also be giving prizes to those who show the most Dolly spirit, so come in your favorite Dolly clothes and outfits. This is a free event, open to the public. So bring a chair or blanket to the lawn and help us celebrate a true saint as only Durham knows how.
