UNC Police, in partnership with Chapel Hill Fire-Rescue, Carrboro Fire-Rescue and the North Carolina Tar Heels Softball Team, will host a free community event, donation drive and charity softball game this weekend to benefit families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. The event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 29 starting at 11:30 a.m. at the Anderson Softball Stadium (912 Raleigh Rd, Chapel Hill) and will include: Meet-and-greet with members of the Carolina Softball Team Touch-a-Truck experience featuring emergency response vehicles Face painting Charity softball game Check the event site for more information on donations & specific donation requests.
