Practice woodworking fundamentals and bring home a beautiful, custom cutting board for your kitchen. In this two session class, students will apply the milling and cutting techniques introduced in our Intro class to create a unique cutting board based on their own design. On the first day, students will mill lumber, cut pieces to size, and glue up their boards. On the second day, you’ll refine and personalize your project using shaping and profiling tools to create a finished piece that’s both functional and one-of-a-kind. This class is also a great next step for students interested in building toward the box-making class and expanding their woodworking skills. This course will be held on two consecutive days starting with the date and time posted. You must take the Woodshop Introduction, or have a strong familiarity with the jointer, planer, and table saw before taking this class.
