To all youths ages 6-11 years and their caregivers: join Ms. Natalie for a CRAFT-tastic time! Every third Thursday of the month, we will get creative and do some crafting together! This month, we will make our own paper flower/leaf pins using cardboard, cardstock paper, safety pins, buttons, gemstones, pom poms, and crayons! Registration is required. CRAFT-tastic Creations: Make Your Own Paper Flower/Leaf Pins is a free, hands-on crafting workshop for elementary-aged children at the Southwest Regional Library in Durham. Led by library staff, this monthly session provides all the materials kids need to assemble and decorate their own wearable accessories using cardboard, safety pins, pom poms, and crayons. This program is designed specifically for children ages 6 to 11 alongside their caregivers. Admission is entirely free, but you must register online in advance to secure a spot because space in the children's programming room is limited. The library has a dedicated parking lot with plenty of free spaces, so you will not need to worry about street parking or fees. It is a smart addition to your weekday schedule because it offers a structured, creative outlet right after school lets out. Your kids get to experiment with different textures and materials without you having to clean up the glitter and paper scraps at your own kitchen table.
