"Cosmic Origins" Family Event

Spend an afternoon exploring space through art, science, photography, and hands-on activities. Join a free, family-friendly event celebrating Cassandra Klos's exhibition "Cosmic Origins" at CDS. Explore the exhibition and imagine what life beyond Earth might look like through activities and demonstrations presented by the Museum of Life and Science, Stargazing Devils, Click! Photography Festival, Duke's SPACE Initiative, and more. Activities will include asteroid mining, sun gazing, a camera obscura experience, and a special exhibition-related activity with Cassandra Klos.They'll have slushies and popcorn, too! With Halloween just around the corner, visitors of all ages are encouraged to come dressed for space exploration. Whether you're an astronaut, alien, scientist, rover, or explorer, show your cosmic creativity. Free and open to all ages!
