Contemporary Bench or Coffee Table

Ready to take your woodworking skills to the next level? Join instructor Willie Wolf for a hands on, multi day workshop where you’ll build a striking contemporary bench or coffee table while developing your skills in advanced joinery. This project features double blind mortise and tenon joinery, giving you the opportunity to tackle precise layout, machining, fitting, and assembly techniques. Willie will guide you through each stage of the process, sharing his experience and helping you turn a well designed plan into a beautifully finished piece of furniture. Your completed project will measure approximately 14" wide × 42" long × 18" tall. While there will be some options for materials and design details, the class will follow the established project parameters to ensure everyone has a successful experience. Material is included in the class price, so you can focus on the fun part, building. This is an intermediate to advanced woodworking class. Participants should be comfortable machining wood and working independently without extensive oversight. Come ready to sharpen your skills, challenge yourself with sophisticated joinery, and leave with a beautiful, functional piece you’ll be proud to have in your home. Participants should be comfortable with the basics of machining wood using a planer and jointer and be able to work safely and independently in the shop. Please plan to attend every scheduled class date.
