Caring for the Caregiver: Stress Management, Self-Care, and Mental Health Caregiving can be rewarding, but it can also bring emotional and physical stress. Join us for an educational program focused on: Supporting caregivers' mental health Recognizing signs and symptoms of caregiver burnout Discovering practical ways to manage stress through self-care and community resources Participants will learn simple self-care techniques, including guided breathing and explore strategies for maintaining emotional well-being. The discovery of local and national resources for caregiver support and mental health services will help open new opportunities. Participants will gain tools to aid in their own well-being while caring for others, through relatable scenarios and group brainstorming. This program offers a supportive and judgment-free environment where participation and sharing personal experiences are always optional. All caregivers and community members interested in caregiver well-being are welcome. Led by Amanda Waters an Eastern Carolina University Master's program student in Nursing Education. She has been a registered nurse for 10 years with experience is in Neurology, Surgical Trauma, Intensive Care Units, Postoperative Surgery, and Vascular Access.
