Featuring works of modern and contemporary art acquired by the Ackland since 2020, Care and Concern explores how artists communicate their cares and concerns about the world around them. Spanning media, including painting, sculpture, and works on paper, the selection centers on both the personal feelings expressed by artists and the emotions they hope to inspire in viewers. The works of art range from expressions of love and disappointment to anxiety and solace.
