Canine-Con

Canine-Con is an outdoor morning festival dedicated to dogs and their owners, featuring local pet vendors, rescue groups, and live demonstrations. Located at the spacious Jefferson L. Sugg Farm at Bass Lake, this event is best suited for socialized dogs on leashes and children who know how to safely interact with unfamiliar pets. Admission to the park grounds is free, though you will want to bring wallet cards or cash for the food trucks and vendor booths. Parking is available on-site in the grass lots, and you should pack water for both your kids and your pups, as the open fields offer very little shade. It makes a wonderful Saturday morning outing because it gets everyone outdoors early before the midday heat sets in, allowing your children to see different dog breeds and watch impressive agility or training demonstrations in a relaxed park setting.
