Boro Land: Floating Worlds is a new exhibition by Durham-based artist Adam Cooley. The large-scale works are built entirely from reclaimed materials — antique Japanese paper, vintage sheet music, old maps of North Carolina and the Triangle — fused to fabric and sewn together with miles of thread. For the first time, the plants and animals of the Piedmont and Carolina coast appear directly in the work. Join Cooley for a free public reception on Friday, July 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.
