Read a children’s book while you enjoy a nature walk at several Wake County Park locations. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson. From August 1-30, explore American Tobacco Trail's new StoryWalk®, Megan Wagner Lloyd's "Finding Wild," illustrated by Abigail Halpin. From August 1–27, visit the brand new Beech Bluff StoryWalk®, "Logan's Greenhouse" written by JaNay Brown-Wood and illustrated by Samara Hardy. From August 3-31, visit Crowder's new StoryWalk® "Señorita Mariposa," written by Ben Gundersheimer and illustrated by Marcos Almada Rivero. From August 1-31, Oak View's brick walkways will feature the children's book "Ellen's Broom," written by Kelly Starling Lyons and illustrated by Daniel Minter. From August 3 –31, visit the new Yates Mill StoryWalk®, "Wonder Walkers," written and illustrated by Micha Archer. From August 1-23, visit the new Lake Crabtree StoryWalk®, "Revolutionary Mary: The True Story of One Woman, the Declaration of Independence, and America's Fight for Freedom," written by Jen McCartney and Karen Blumenthal and illustrated by Elizabeth Baddeley. From August 1-31, visit the new Turnipseed StoryWalk®, "Riding Magic" written by Kelly Starling Lyons and illustrated by E.B. Lewis.
