2026 River Park Concert
Music

The 2026 River Park Concert is a day-long, outdoor music festival featuring five regional and national Americana, bluegrass, and rock bands. Taking place in the heart of historic Hillsborough, this annual autumn gathering brings together local food vendors and live performances in a relaxed, open-air setting. For a smooth afternoon with kids, bring a large picnic blanket, low-backed lawn chairs, and plenty of snacks. While admission is entirely free, you will want to bring card or cash for the local food trucks. Portable restrooms are available on-site, and stroller navigation is manageable across the grassy park lawns. Parking in downtown Hillsborough can fill up quickly on weekends, so plan to arrive early to secure a spot in the nearby public decks or street spaces. This festival makes a great weekend outing because it offers a flexible, low-stress environment where children can move around freely while parents enjoy high-quality live music. You can easily pop out of the park to stroll through downtown Hillsborough's local shops or grab a quiet bite to eat, making it easy to tailor the day to your family's nap schedules.
