Toys for Tots (Wake/Durham): last day for approved groups to request toys
Toys for Tots isn't taking family applications this year. Nov. 30 is the last day for approved churches, schools and nonprofits to request toys, so sign up with one of them well before then; each sets its own earlier deadline.

LIEAP heating help: sign-up for households with someone 60+ or disabled
Households with a person 60 or older, or a disabled person getting state aging and adult services, can apply for help with heating bills. This is the standard window; check your county DSS for this year's dates.

Orange County Toy Chest holiday registration
Orange County DSS gives holiday toys to children 12 and under in eligible low-income families; register online.
Last year: No deadline posted. Toys for Tots Orange County says eligible families get a letter by the end of October with how to register.
