Before you go
- Check the nature center hours before visiting, as it is closed on Sundays and Mondays even though the park trails and playgrounds remain open.
- The park features paved trails, making it a highly stroller-friendly destination for families.
- Let your kids know ahead of time that they won't see live white deer; the park's namesake is a taxidermied doe at the entrance.
- If you plan to use the free seasonal splash pad, remember to pack swimsuits, towels, sunscreen, and a dry change of clothes.
Best for 1 to 10 years old
