Before you go
- Parking is free but fills up fast on sunny weekends; you may have to park far down the hill if you arrive late.
- Check the status of the pedal boats before promising a ride, as they have been out of service during lake construction.
- Visiting on a weekday teacher workday is a great way to enjoy the rides and playground without the usual weekend crowds.

About
Raleigh's classic family park, home to a 1911 carousel, a kiddie train, pedal boats, a playground, and a cafe. Admission is free; the rides are about $2 each. A perennial favorite for young kids.
