Before you go
- Downtown Durham parking can be a hassle on event nights, so scout the Durham Arts Council decks before your first class run.
- Check the current catalog before planning; the youth lineup changes, so confirm a class is running before promising it to your kid.
- The Durham Arts Council offers partial, need-based financial aid scholarships through their arts education department.
- It is free to tour the galleries, and they host free, family-friendly events during downtown festivals like CenterFest and the Durham Art Walk.
