- The Barkyard dog park requires an annual membership or a day pass, unlike the rest of the free park.
- The park features two separate water play areas that run seasonally from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Combine your visit with a local meal or coffee, as the park is situated right in the heart of downtown.
- Look out for low-key, free midday music shows in the spring, which are perfect for younger kids during daylight hours.
