“Cookies, Christmas & Community” – WUMC 2026 Cookie Walk. In association with the Wendell Wonderland and Lake Myra Light Display. Proceeds support Women and Children Community Service Projects in Wake Co. Thousands of all-time favorite home-baked Christmas cookies will once again be on sale. This very popular event, featuring family Christmas cookie favorites, has been held by the Women’s Group of the church every year for 15 years. It is a local tradition that the residents of Wendell and Eastern Wake County anticipate as a part of the kick off of the Christmas season. All new for 2026 – the Cookie Walk will feature Sugar Cookie Kits made up of home baked Sugar Cookies, icing and sprinkles for at-home decorating. The kits, that will be sold for $5, will be assembled as a project of the children’s Bible Club. Original holiday crafts also will be sold during the event.
