Wake County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council Community Listening Session

The Wake County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council invites community members, parents and caregivers, young people, educators, service providers, law enforcement and other stakeholders to join us for a Community Listening Session on Thursday, Oct. 15. The Council wants to hear directly from the community about the needs, strengths, challenges and risks affecting young people in Wake County. We are particularly interested in learning about the experiences of young people and families, gaps in available resources and services, and ideas for strengthening prevention, safety and positive opportunities for youth.This conversation is especially timely as our community continues to discuss recent “teen takeover” events, youth curfews and other approaches to promoting safe and welcoming communities. The listening session will provide an opportunity for community members and stakeholders to share their perspectives and recommendations. Register to attend.Register by Oct. 12!
