Virtual Homeschool Learning Lab is a weekly program that offers engaging enrichment lessons created just for homeschoolers via Zoom. Come join us each week to learn, explore, and connect with other homeschooling families in Durham. A supply kit will be provided for the program. For any questions regarding kit pickup or accommodation needs, please reach out to Molly at mschaefer@dconc.gov. We ask that all requests be made at least three (3) business days prior to the event to ensure we can provide the best accommodations possible!
Virtual Homeschool Learning Lab is a weekly online enrichment program designed to help home-educated students connect and learn together through live Zoom sessions. Each week features a new hands-on topic led by instructors who guide the children through interactive projects and discussions. To participate, you will need to register in advance and pick up a provided supply kit from the library. The program is free of charge and designed primarily for elementary and middle school-aged homeschoolers. Because it is hosted online, you can join from the comfort of your living room, but you must request any special accommodations or ask kit pickup questions at least three business days before the session by emailing the coordinator. This is an excellent addition to your weekly routine because it takes the pressure off parents to plan a hands-on lab. Your kids get to interact with peers from Durham and Raleigh while you enjoy a pre-planned lesson with all the materials provided for you.
How do we get the activity supplies for the class?
A complimentary supply kit is provided for each participant. You will need to coordinate your kit pickup in advance by emailing Molly at mschaefer@dconc.gov.
Is there a cost to attend this virtual program?
No, this weekly homeschool enrichment session is entirely free for local families, though registration is required to receive the Zoom link and materials.
