Twist & Turn Thursdays: Parachute Playtime Outdoors is a free, interactive morning movement program for young children held on the lawn at the East Regional Library in Durham. Kids will work together to shake a giant parachute, sing songs, chase bubbles, and play with colorful pinwheels in the fresh air. This active session is best suited for toddlers and preschoolers who enjoy music and group play. The event is entirely free, but the library staff requests that you register online in advance so they can plan for supplies. Because the activities take place outside on the grass, you should bring a blanket or lawn chairs to sit on, and dress your little ones in clothes that can handle a bit of damp grass or sticky popsicle juice.
