The Trick or Pickle Scavenger Hunt @ Southwest Regional is a month-long search for ten hidden pickle pictures dressed in Halloween costumes. Kids can explore the children's area of the library to see if they can spot every single one. This activity is completely free and runs all day on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, as part of a month-long event from October 1st through October 31st. You do not need to register in advance, but if you have questions about accessibility, sensory stimulation levels, or need disability accommodations, you can call the library staff at (919) 560-8592. It is a low-pressure, indoor outing that you can easily pair with your weekly library book haul. Because it runs all day, you can drop in whenever it fits best between naps and snack times.
