The Triangle Greyhound Society Meet & Greet in Cary is a monthly gathering where the public can meet adoptable rescue greyhounds and their handlers. Held at the Triangle Wine Company, this event offers a low-key environment to learn about the breed and see if these retired racers might be a good fit for your home. What to Know: This event is entirely free to attend and is best suited for school-aged children who know how to approach animals calmly. You do not need to bring anything, but keeping your own pets at home is recommended so the focus stays on the rescue greyhounds. It makes a great weekend stop because it is a quick, low-pressure activity that fits easily between afternoon errands. Your kids get to interact with incredibly gentle animals, and you can browse the shop or talk to local volunteers about the rescue process.
