Please join us for an exciting Touch-a-Truck event with the City of Durham Fire Department! Kids and families can explore the fire truck up close, meet the firefighters, and learn valuable fire safety tips. This is in observance of National Fire Prevention Week, which is from October 4-10, 2026. This year's campaign focuses on the everyday charging habits that can help reduce the risk of lithium-ion battery fires and keep homes and communities safer. This program will be held at 11a.m. directly after our 10:30 firefighter-themed storytime. Questions? Accessibility questions? Accommodation needs?
