Time: Sun., 8pm, doors open 1 hour prior

Venue: KINGS, Raleigh

Price: $20 adv / $25 day-of

The Casualties’ new album, Detonate, channels frustration with political division, injustice, war, and relentless bad news into an explosive punk protest. Their second album with vocalist David Rodriguez marks a new era for the band, blending their signature aggression with calls for unity and systemic change. Tracks include “People Over Power,” featuring a rallying cry against oppression; “Brick by Brick,” with Agnostic Front’s Vinnie Stigma; and “Ashes of War,” featuring Native American punk band 1876. “Pigs on Fire” combines English, Spanish, and Portuguese to amplify marginalized voices. Since 1990, The Casualties have championed punk’s rebellious spirit, and Detonate continues that tradition with a message of resistance, solidarity, and empowerment. Bullshit Detector blends hard, dark Oi! punk with post-punk, goth, and death rock in a sound they call “thugwave.” Their lyrics confront injustice, addiction, death, and mental illness while offering redemption and hope. The Gunline bills itself as the Triangle’s self-proclaimed last rockers—a lean, mean rock ’n’ roll machine.
