Teens: Trick or Treat Bags is a free hands-on crafting workshop where local teenagers can design and make their own custom bags for collecting Halloween candy. This program is open to all students in grades six through twelve. While you do not have to register to attend, the library recommends signing up in advance to make sure they have enough crafting supplies reserved for your teenager. Keep in mind that the library is scheduled for temporary roof repairs starting in September, so you will want to double-check the schedule before heading out in case construction delays affect the program. This is a highly practical weekday activity for older kids who want to get creative before Halloween. It gives your middle or high schooler a chance to hang out with peers, make something useful for their holiday celebrations, and enjoy a budget-friendly creative outlet.
