Tasting at Ten is a free coffee tasting hosted by Counter Culture Coffee at the roastery, every Friday at 10am. A new coffee is featured every week. Educational, delicious, and free!
Tasting at Ten is a weekly, guided coffee tasting hosted at the Counter Culture Coffee training center in Durham. Every Friday morning, the roastery opens its doors to the public to share a new selection of coffees from around the world, explaining the origins and flavor profiles of each brew. This event is entirely free and requires no prior registration. While the tasting is geared toward adults and older teenagers who can appreciate the flavor notes, younger children are welcome to accompany you in the space. Parking is available on-site at the Durham facility, and the session lasts about forty-five minutes, making it easy to fit into your morning routine. It is an excellent Friday activity to kick off your weekend, offering a high-quality caffeine fix and a behind-the-scenes look at a beloved local roaster before you head out to explore the rest of Durham.
No registration is required. You can simply show up at the Durham training center just before 10:00 AM to join the tasting.
Is this event suitable for young children?
While children are welcome in the building, the event is a structured tasting focused on coffee education, so it is best suited for parents, teens, or families with older kids.
