Come join us in the Children's Programming Room for Storytime with Ms. Chloe. This is a noisy Storytime that will be full of reading, singing, dancing, rhythm sticks, and bubbles! Afterwards we will play with dinosaurs and coloring pages. Geared towards toddlers to Kindergarteners, but all ages are welcome to join in the fun! Storytime with Ms. Chloe is an active, music-filled reading group designed to get young children moving and singing at the Durham Main Library. Unlike quiet reading hours, this session encourages kids to make noise, dance, shake rhythm sticks, and chase bubbles in the dedicated children's programming room. This free event is designed for toddlers through kindergarteners, though older and younger siblings are welcome to participate. You do not need to register in advance, but plan to arrive a few minutes early to secure a spot in the room and find parking in the library lot. Because this is a highly interactive session, parents should plan to stay in the room and participate alongside their children. It is an easy, low-stress way to break up the weekday morning routine, let your kids burn off some energy indoors, and connect with other local parents in the community.
The activities, songs, and stories are planned with toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners in mind, though children of all ages are welcome to attend.
Do I need to register or pay to attend?
