Storytime Stay and Play is a free weekly library program that combines a group reading session with hands-on learning stations. After the librarians finish reading, children can move between different tables featuring playdough, building blocks, and simple crafts. This event is designed for children ages three to five, though younger siblings are welcome to join. It takes place at the Green Road Community Library in Raleigh, which offers plenty of free parking in its dedicated lot. You do not need to register in advance, and you do not need a library card to participate. It is an ideal Friday morning outing because it provides structured socialization for preschoolers right before lunchtime. The transition from listening to active play keeps toddlers from getting restless, and you can check out a stack of weekend books before you head home.
