The Stein Holding Competition is a traditional strength contest where participants hold a full one-liter beer stein straight out in front of them for as long as possible. The event follows official national rules, and the competitor who holds their form the longest walks away with a one hundred dollar gift card. If you want to compete, you need to register online ahead of time to secure your spot in the lineup. The brewery features a large, fenced-in backyard area with lawn games, making it easy to keep children occupied while parents take turns cheering or competing. There is no cost to watch the competition, but you will want to bring ID if you plan to order drinks or participate. This is a great weekend option because it combines a high-energy spectator sport with a highly casual, kid-friendly venue. You can enjoy the outdoor autumn air, grab dinner from their full menu, and let the kids burn off energy in the yard while you enjoy the tournament.
