Each event blends science, technology, engineering, art, and/or math to spark creativity and encourage learning in exciting ways.
STEAM LAB is a free, hands-on weekend workshop where elementary school students complete interactive science, technology, engineering, art, and math projects. This specific session is designed for children in third through fifth grade, making it a perfect fit for older kids who have outgrown standard library storytimes. The program takes place at the Leesville Community Library in North Raleigh, which offers plenty of free parking in its dedicated lot. You do not need to bring any supplies, as the library provides all the materials for the experiments. It is an easy addition to your Saturday afternoon routine, especially if you want to combine a productive library run with an educational activity that keeps your child off screens.
