STEAM Lab for 3rd-5th Graders: Pointillism is a free, hands-on weekend workshop at the Middle Creek Community Library in Apex where older elementary students can explore the science of optical color mixing through dot-based painting. This program is designed specifically for children in grades three through five. Because supplies and space are limited, participation is first-come, first-served, so you will want to arrive early to secure a spot. The library has a dedicated parking lot with plenty of free spaces, and you do not need to bring any materials from home. It is a smart addition to your Saturday afternoon because it offers a structured, creative outlet for older kids who have outgrown toddler storytimes but still want to participate in library activities.
