STEAM Lab: Dimensions and Dodecahedrons is a free hands-on science and math workshop for elementary school students at the Northeast Regional Library in Raleigh. Kids will explore geometry concepts by building and studying twelve-sided three-dimensional shapes. This program is designed specifically for children in third through fifth grade, so the activities are tailored to their developmental levels. The event is entirely free to attend, and all building materials are provided by the library. You can park in the main library lot off Sandy Forks Road, which has plenty of spaces, though it can get busy right after school hours. It is a great mid-week outing because it keeps kids mentally active after the school bell rings. Plus, you can easily combine the class with a trip to the library shelves to stock up on books for weekend reading.
