STEAM Lab: Pointillism is a free, hands-on educational workshop where elementary students explore the intersection of mathematics and art by creating dot-based paintings. This forty-five minute session is designed specifically for children in third through fifth grade. It takes place at the West Regional Library in Cary, which offers plenty of free parking in its dedicated lot. You do not need to bring any art supplies, as the library provides everything your child needs to complete their project. It is an ideal weekend activity because it fits easily into a Sunday afternoon schedule, leaving you with plenty of time to browse the bookshelves and check out your weekly reading before heading home for dinner.
