STEAM Lab: Pointillism is a free educational workshop where elementary schoolers learn how small, precise dots of color combine to form complete pictures. Children will explore the mathematical and artistic concepts behind this classic painting technique through a hands-on project. This program is designed specifically for children in third through fifth grade and takes place in the children's program room at the West Regional Library in Cary. Admission is entirely free, and the library provides all necessary art supplies, so you do not need to bring anything from home. The library has a large, free parking lot directly in front of the building, making it easy to get your kids inside on time. It is a smart addition to your weekly schedule because it combines academic concepts with creative play. Your child will practice fine motor skills and spatial reasoning while creating a piece of art they can take home.
