STEAM Lab - Dot Day! is a free, drop-in art workshop where elementary school students can create their own masterpieces using pointillism. This program is designed specifically for children in third through fifth grade, so you will want to leave younger siblings with another caregiver or keep them occupied in the library's main children's section during the session. The event takes place in the library's program room, and registration is not required. Parking is free and plentiful in the library's dedicated lot, but arriving fifteen minutes early ensures you find a spot and get settled before the 3:00 PM start time. It is a smart weekend pick because it combines literacy with hands-on art, giving your child a chance to try a focused painting technique without you having to clean up the messy paint splatters at your own kitchen table.
