Solstice Lantern Walk and Market in Hillsborough

, LLC The Solstice Lantern Walk and Market is an annual event that will take place on the Riverwalk in Hillsborough, North Carolina, on Saturday, December 19, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m. The event marks the beginning of the winter season, and the longest night of the year. The walk starts at Hillsborough Farmers Market Pavilion, 144 E Margaret Lane, and then proceeds along the River Walk. Shop for unique, handmade artwork at the Solstice Market under the Pavilion from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be local artists, live music and performances, interactive activities, hot drinks and warm food. It's free to participate but registration is required. A $10 donation is suggested. Register here.
