Social Stitchers is a free, drop-in gathering for needle and fiber crafters of all skill levels to work on projects and chat. Located in the children's programming room at the Southwest Regional Library, this event is best suited for teens and adults, though older kids who can knit or crochet independently are welcome. You will need to bring your own yarn, needles, or embroidery floss, as only a very limited amount of starter supplies are on hand. This meetup makes a great Friday afternoon stop because it combines productive creative time with a library run. You can set up your teen with their project or let your younger kids pick out their weekend books while you spend an hour connecting with other local makers.
