Sensory Stay and Play is a free, drop-in program at the Southeast Regional Library designed specifically for children with autism or sensory processing differences. The event organizers set up two distinct areas to accommodate different needs, featuring an active hands-on exploration space alongside a separate, quiet calm room. This program is entirely free to attend and does not require advance registration. The library has a spacious, free parking lot directly in front of the building, making it easy to transition your kids from the car to the event. Because it is a drop-in format, you can arrive late or leave early depending on how your child is doing that day. This Friday afternoon session is an excellent weekend starter because it offers a structured yet flexible environment where your child can socialize comfortably. It provides a supportive space to connect with other local parents who understand the joys and challenges of raising sensory-sensitive kids.
