Senior Archery You don’t have to be a world champ to benefit from archery. It provides cardio and strength-training workouts for everyday seniors. Repeatedly drawing a bow and holding it at full draw while aiming builds strength. After shooting each round, you’ll get your daily steps by walking to and from the target to retrieve your arrows. With coaching you can adjust your archery activity to your fitness level. All equipment will be provided.
Senior Archery at Sugg Farm is an introductory outdoor fitness class in Holly Springs designed to teach older adults how to shoot a bow and arrow. Participants will learn proper form from instructors, practice aiming at targets, and retrieve their own arrows to get their steps in for the day. All necessary shooting equipment is provided on-site, so you only need to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. The program takes place at Sugg Farm at Bass Lake Park, which offers plenty of paved parking close to the activity fields. While the exact registration fee is not listed, these town-run programs typically require pre-registration through the Holly Springs parks department website. This weekday session makes a wonderful outing for active grandparents who want to try a new hobby in a supportive, low-pressure environment. It is a great excuse to head to Holly Springs early, enjoy a picnic by the lake, and spend a quiet afternoon outdoors.
