You know the story. Two households, both alike in dignity. Two young lovers. One ancient feud. But in this Verona, there is more to the story than we've been told. Society is crumbling. While the streets decay and ordinary citizens struggle to survive, Verona’s ruling families - the Montagues and Capulets - cling tightly to their wealth, power, and privilege. Their endless feud has become more than a family rivalry; it is a symbol of a system that has failed everyone but those at the top. Beneath the city, a rebellion is growing. Tired of waiting for change, a network of revolutionaries has devised a plan to strike at the ruling families where they are most vulnerable. But when Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet meet and fall desperately in love, they become entangled in forces far larger than themselves. Their forbidden romance may be the spark the rebellion has been waiting for - or the one thing no one can control. In a world where love is dangerous, loyalty is uncertain, and even tragedy can be used as a weapon, Romeo and Juliet must decide what - and who - they are willing to sacrifice. Their story has always ended in death. The question now is whether those deaths will finally change anything.
