Rockets!: K-5th Adventures is a free, hands-on science and design workshop for elementary school students at the Cary Regional Library. Children will spend the afternoon building their own custom rockets and testing how far they can fly in a friendly, educational setting. This program is designed specifically for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Admission is entirely free, but participation is limited to keep the group size manageable. You can park for free in the parking deck adjacent to the library on Charley Gentry Lane, then head straight to the Youth Services Desk to secure your spot. It is an easy, low-stress way to break up the weekday afternoon slump. Your kids get to experiment and make a mess outside of your own living room, and you can browse for your weekly book haul at the same time.
