Rock Painting: 3rd-5th STEAM Lab is a free, hands-on educational workshop where elementary students combine science and art through creative crafts. Children will experiment with paint and natural materials to learn about scientific concepts in a practical, tactile way. This program is designed specifically for children in third through fifth grade, making it a perfect fit for older elementary students who have outgrown toddler storytimes. The event takes place at the East Regional Library in Knightdale, which offers plenty of free parking in its dedicated lot. All supplies are provided by the library, so you do not need to bring any materials from home. It is an ideal Friday afternoon activity to transition your child from the school week into the weekend. The structured, hour-long format keeps kids focused and learning without feeling like extra schoolwork.
